     Clean the jug, lid, and funnel thoroughly with a mild detergent. Dishwashing machine can be used.

     Remove plastic package from the cartridge (Note: the cartridge and plastic film interior may appear damp due to water condensation); place cartridge in cold tap water for 20 min. to prepare it for application. While being transported, the appliance might shed some minute activated charcoal particles subsequently colouring water; this is a norm which does not affect the whole filter system functioning. (Note: activated charcoal has been tested by food safety methods and found not hazardous).

     Place filter cartridge into the funnel, fitting its body grooves into wedge slots of the funnel. Then infix filter cartridge in the funnel. Cartridge must be secured tight inside the funnel even in upside down position. Install funnel back in the jug.

     Fill the funnel with cold tap water and get it filtered. Use the water for flowers or throw it away. Repeat the steps. First two rounds are recommended in order to clean filter cartridge and remove activated charcoal particles formed as a result of friction.

     The jug must be always filled with water to a level submerging filter cartridge to ensure effective filtration. In case of a dry cartridge, please follow step 2 of the Manual.

     Important!: Refill funnel with water after emptying jug. Otherwise cartridge filtering properties may deteriorate.

     Do not expose filter to direct sunshine, do not keep it on the window sill.

Fit cartridge tightly in the funnel until you hear a click. To make sure cartridge is properly fixed, turn funnel upside down to see if it falls out.

     Just like dishes filter requires maintenance.
Replacing filter cartridge wash the lid, jug, and funnel with a mild detergent.
    Keep in mind that water is food. Its recommended preservation period is no longer than 2 days.

Before leaving filter unused for a lengthy period (going to vacation, for instance) remove cartridge and keep it cleanly packed in the fridge at a temperature over +0°С.

    To resume filter usage please follow steps 2-4 of this Manual again.

     Cartridge replacement
Filter cartridge is the staple component of Aquamarine system. It is crucial to replace it in due time. For effective filtration you are recommended to replace cartridge every 4 weeks or upon filtering 150 l water.
